It was the most perfect day for Lacey and Kyle’s Doubletree Pittsburgh Airport Wedding. The beautiful bride said she always imagined getting married in a little, white church in a rural area. However, after she and Kyle relocated to Pittsburgh, she fell in love with the city, and both of them decided to go for a simple ceremony and large, lively reception.
Kyle and Lacey’s wedding was a laid-back, soft and happy event in May. More than the conventional destination wedding, this couple incorporated travelling into their special day and spiced it all up with a dash of geography with pops of mauve, mint and grey. The guest book for the wedding was a world map, where attendees literally signed in from all over the globe.
The wedding cake, compliments of Signature Desserts, was made with vanilla, raspberry, cream cheese filling and vanilla buttercream icing. It also had a world map feature at the base, aesthetically garnished with K&L-initialed wooden block topper covered with three maps featuring locations important to the couple.
In my opinion, there were countless, fantastic moments from the occasion, but according to Lacey, what took the cake for her was her First Look. She and her husband decided to read each other self-written letters. It was such a beautiful moment for the both of them. As for Kyle, his favorite was dinner, which was fantastically provided by the hotel.
One of the most important days of your life is the day you tie the knot. Celebrating the beauty and essence of love is something not to be forgotten. From the dressing room to the dance floor, there are plenty of memories to be made, all of which will live forever in the photographs.
