Outdoor Family Sessions

Many of my favorite locations include tree-lined paths, open grassy fields, and quiet wooded areas that photograph beautifully in every season.
We plan your session around the best light of the day, usually close to sunset when the sunlight becomes soft and warm. Children are free to move and play while I guide you through simple interactions so you always feel comfortable and confident.

CHILDREN'S PORTRAITS

Most children’s portraits take place in a rented natural-light studio space. The simplicity of the studio keeps the attention on expression, eye contact, and the little details parents never want to forget. nEWBORN & MATERNITY PHOTOGRAPHY
The earliest days of parenthood are quiet, emotional, and often a blur. My newborn and maternity sessions are designed to preserve that season in a gentle and natural way, focusing on connection rather than elaborate setups.
I photograph families as they truly are during this time. The way you hold your baby, the way they fit against your chest, tiny stretches, sleepy expressions, and the closeness of being together at home. These sessions are calm, slow paced, and fully baby-led.
I do not use complex posing, props, or wraps that require babies to be carefully positioned. Instead, your baby remains safely in your arms, in a bassinet, or comfortably resting while I document your family’s first days together.
In-Home Newborn Sessions
In-home sessions take place in the comfort of your own home, typically within the nursery, master bedroom, or living room where natural window light is best. Your home does not need to be perfect or styled for photographs. I guide you to the best light and gently simplify spaces so the focus stays on your family.
Being at home allows the session to move at your baby’s pace. You can feed, change, and settle your baby whenever needed, and older siblings remain relaxed in their own environment.
These sessions create meaningful images that document what life actually felt like during those first weeks. The rocking chair you chose, the tiny crib, and the way you learned to hold your newborn all become part of your child’s story.

For families who prefer an indoor space without preparing their home, I also offer newborn sessions in rented natural-light studios throughout the Pittsburgh area. These studios provide a soft, simple environment with beautiful light and minimal distractions.
Studio newborn sessions keep the same natural approach. Babies stay comfortably held or resting rather than positioned into posed setups. The clean surroundings create timeless images while still preserving genuine connection.
This option is especially helpful for families who want a calm, uncluttered background while still keeping the session relaxed and baby-led.
maternity portraits
Maternity sessions celebrate the anticipation before your baby arrives. These can take place outdoors at a local park during sunset or inside a studio space for a quieter and more intimate setting.
My approach to maternity photography is simple and flattering, with gentle guidance on posing so you feel comfortable and confident. The focus stays on connection, your growing belly, and the relationship already forming between you and your baby.

My studio serves families throughout the East suburbs of Pittsburgh. Most of my clients come from Plum Borough, Oakmont, and Fox Chapel, as well as Verona, Penn Hills, and O’Hara Township. I photograph both outdoor sessions at nearby parks and studio portraits designed for children and families who prefer a relaxed indoor environment.
